Gallatin Rain Storm I
When was the last time you sent a handwritten note to a friend far away. I recently began sending handwritten notes in beautiful art cards to my favorite cousins and dear friends far away. It has been a lovely way to revive an old tradition for so many of us experiencing Zoom burnout.
This is a view of the Gallatin Mountains from just west of Bozeman looking southeast. The sky is typical of a stormy Montana afternoon in the fall, with the contrasting themes of bright sunlight and dark, foreboding clouds. It highlights the contradictions that can be found in the American west: cold but sunny, bright but stormy, the ancient permanence of mountains against the fleeting backdrop of dramatic cloudscapes.
