Simple Pleasures-- Original watercolor painting by Ceilon Aspensen

I have been an artist my entire life, and have a BFA in Drawing from M ississippi State University. I taught art full-time in grades 9-12 in Baltimore City Public Schools in Baltimore, Maryland for five years from 2006-2011, and paint at home in my studio every day. You can view my artwork on my website, or visit my eBay store. While primarily an artist, I have many other interests:

Distraction #1: I have a MA in Native American Studies from M ontana State University, and in addition to teaching high school art in Baltimore, I also teach Native American Art online for Montana State University's Native American Studies department.

What I'm reading now:

Distraction #2: I am a web programmer and have a small web design and hosting company called Code Rustlers. We are currently developing a product called Idiot Proof Web, a do-it-your-self FREE web editing tool and hosting package all in one. It will be available for release in the fall of 2009. I am also developing a web application for teachers that automates the process of writing daily lesson plans and rubrics. That will also be available in the fall of 2009.

Distraction #3: Road Trips. Living in Baltimore provides my husband and I with lots of incentive to get the heck outta Dodge as frequently as we possibly can. We love the great outdoors (and desperately miss the West, and Montana in particular), so we go camping a lot, and take lots of photographs.

Distraction #4: Books and Movies. I love stories, and always have my nose buried as deeply as I can in a book as often as my insanely busy schedule allows. The Joppa branch of the Harford County Public Library and Netflix are my friends, and I watch movies on the weekends, when I'm not building websites, grading papers, planning lessons, or gettin' the heck outta Dodge.
